All right, guys. Now what we’re going to do is talk about one of the most common submissions off your back, the triangle choke.
First of all, I want to get to a position of strength. I’m not going to jump right into the triangle. I’m going to go to what we call the pre-triangle position. Watch. That is where I have one arm in. My feet are closed, but I’m not finishing the position, yet. I just have one arm between his body. This is what I want to get. If his arm is here, it goes between my legs, and I’m here. How do I get there? Start from the different guards. Down [sounds like] good guard. I get back. I push him arm out this way, bring my leg over, there. Or I push his arm in this way, bring my legs over, there. Also, lister. Boom. I push his arm out, here. Bring my foot over again, or push his arm in. His arm is here. Push it in again, come here. Another entry is off of the omoplata, here. He starts to defend, and I’m right here again.
Two entries into the pre-triangle. Watch again. Down the guard. Hit the scape. Push the knee out, here. Push the arm in, here. Lister. Push the arm out. Push the hand in. Come over. Immediately control the.
Now I’m in pre-triangle. Now I can do all sorts of finishes.
